# Personal and organization accounts

> The difference between a private account and an organization account, and which one Balt uses.

One tool can be connected for one person or for the whole organization. You choose when connecting, in **Who should have access?**, and can change it later in the account's **Access** tab.

| | Private account | Organization account |
| - | - | - |
| When connecting | **Private** | **Public** |
| In the **Access** tab | **Only people you invite** | Everyone at your organization |
| Who can connect it | Any member | An administrator |
| Who can use it with Balt | You, and the people you invite | The whole organization |
| Who can change it | You, the people who manage the account, administrators | Administrators and the people who manage the account |
| Which account Balt acts with | The one of the person who connected it, invited people included | One account, shared by everyone |

> [!NOTE]
>
> If you're a member, pick **Private** when connecting: only an administrator can connect a **Public** account.

## Calendars and mailboxes

A calendar or a mailbox belongs to one person. These tools show **Yours only** and always connect as private. Everyone connects their own.

## When you have both

You can have a private account and an organization account for the same tool. Balt uses yours first, then a private account you were invited to, then the organization's.

## What your colleagues see

* Balt never mentions one person's private accounts to anyone else.
* The result of a request arrives in the conversation where it was made.
* The **Notes** Balt keeps on a tool are shared with the organization, whichever account taught him.
* An administrator doesn't see colleagues' private accounts, unless invited to them.

## In routines

A routine runs with the accounts of the person it belongs to: their private accounts, the ones they're invited to and the organization's.

A routine deployed to the organization runs for each person with their own accounts. If a required integration is missing, the routine waits for the person to connect it. An organization account is enough for a given tool. For **Any calendar** or **Any mailbox**, everyone has to connect their own. See [Deploy to organization](https://docs.hire-balt.com/en/routines/deploy.md).

When someone leaves the organization, their private accounts are deleted. Organization accounts stay.
