# Spaces

> The applications Balt builds for your organization.

A space is an application Balt builds for you: a form, a dashboard, a small website. Find them under **Spaces**, in the console.

## Create a space

Ask Balt in a conversation: "Build a form for our clients to report a claim." The space then shows up under **Spaces**.

## A space's page

**Open** launches the application, **Copy link** copies its address. The page has four tabs:

| Tab | What you do there |
| - | - |
| **Overview** | See the space and its state |
| **Database** | Look at its data. Only for the creator and administrators. |
| **Access** | Choose who can open it |
| **Settings** | Name, description, image, icon, indexing and domain |

Each space has two environments, **Production** and **Preview**, whose access is set separately.

## Who can open it

| Setting | Who |
| - | - |
| **Only the creator** | The person who asked for it |
| **Organization** | Every member of your organization |
| **Chosen people** | The members you choose |
| **Public** | Anyone with the link |

A public space in production needs a link to a **Privacy notice**. Under **Active sessions**, **Sign everyone out** ends every session. Only the creator and administrators change access.

## Settings

* **General**: the name and the description.
* **Link image** and **Icon**: what shows when the address is shared.
* **Indexing**: whether **Search engines** may index it.
* **Domains**: serve the space on your own domain.

## Delete a space

**Delete space**, in its settings, then type its name to confirm. Only its creator can, and deleting is permanent.
