Open a connected account from the tool’s page. The Access tab sets who can use it and how Balt works for each person.

Who can use this connection

Who can use this connection picks between the whole organization and Only people you invite. Only an administrator can open an account to the whole organization. See Personal and organization accounts.

An organization account

The Access tab of an organization account
  • How Balt works for them sets everyone’s role. Only administrators change it.
  • Different for specific people lists the exceptions: someone with another role, or who can manage the account. Add some with Add people. Everyone else follows the shared setting.

A private account

The Access tab of a private account
People who can use it lists who has access, each with their role. The person who connected the account shows as Owner: they can’t be removed. Click Invite people or groups to open the account to colleagues.
Invite people or groups
A group adds its current members, not people who join it later. Each person gets the shared role, which you can change afterwards.

Roles

The role decides what Balt does for a person with this account.
The role menu
Customised shows when actions were set one by one, with Customise by action…. See What Balt does alone for the detail, action by action. Can manage this connection, in the same menu, lets a person change the list, the roles, the switch and the connection. They’re then marked manages.

Several people at once

Tick people in the list, or use Select all. The menu next to it also selects the people of a group. Then Change role or Remove access. Removing a person also clears their action-by-action settings.
